Christmas is a word we use a lot this time of year, but many believers don’t realize what a powerful word it is. CHRIST is the Greek word for anointed. It’s used 569 times in the Bible, talking about Jesus. MAS is a word for carnival or celebration. So Christ-mas is a celebration of the Anointed One and His Anointing—which is “the burden-removing, yoke-destroying power of God!
No matter how much the devil wants to do it, he cannot stop the power of God’s Anointing. He tried, even going so far as to think he put Jesus to death…and you know how well that worked out! Whatever you need, Jesus and His burden-removing, yoke-destroying power is there for you (Isaiah 10:27). Whatever struggles you’re facing, let the power of His Anointing destroy that yoke and put your faith in the Word of the Anointed One.
At this Christmas season, let’s celebrate JESUS, the Anointed One!
