Hanukkah begins at sundown December 25, 2024
We read the story of the Maccabees and learn the Maccabees not only fought against the Greeks but also against their own Jewish brothers who were embracing a Hellenized culture. They fought for the rededication of the temple. They stood in faith for the holy oil and God’s provision. They would not back down. They were bold, brave, and stood for righteousness.
In the spirit and heart of the Maccabees, we will celebrate around the globe as a bond of solidarity as we stand equipped with faith with the nation of Israel.
As we enter the new year, let’s carry with us the lessons of unity, faith, and generosity that shaped our journey in 2024. Together with God’s grace, we’ve stood as a beacon of hope—let’s continue to shine brightly in 2025.
